- Find the power button. It is on the side of the Meta headset. Press it once. Let go. You should see the lights come on inside.
- Look inside the Meta headset. You will see a screen asking you to get your phone ready.

- On your phone the Meta Quest app you just installed will say it is Searching for your Meta headset. Be patient.

- On your phone a screen will pop up asking you to enter that 5-digit number. Type it in carefully.
- Good job. Your phone and Meta headset are now connected.
- The app will now ask you to connect your Meta headset to your Wi-Fi. Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list on your phone then enter your password. This connects your Meta headset to the internet.

- It will ask you to look down at the floor and then use the controller to draw a line around the area where you want to play.
- Stand in the middle of your room clear of any chairs, tables or lamps. Using the controller trace a circle or rectangle on the floor. This tells the Meta headset This is my zone.
- If you ever get too close to the edge while using the Meta headset a virtual fence will appear, warning you to step so you do not bump into anything.
Part 7: Troubleshooting – If Something Is Not Working
Sometimes technology can be tricky. Here is what to do if you run into problems:
The website will not load:
- Check that your phone or computer is connected to the internet.
- Try typing the address very slowly: www.meta.com/device.
You forgot your password:
- On the www.meta.com/device login screen look for the words Forgot Password.
